To be a Freemason is to participate in the Craft’s central project: metaphysical temple building. The Archetypal Temple is raised on several planes simultaneously – the moral, ethical, mnemonic, intellectual, etc. Masonic ritual and symbolism are the patterns on the trestleboard. In this presentation, we will examine the archetypal image of the Temple in the microcosm, the mesocosm, and the macrocosm.
